Find the disposal route before choosing extras
同一城市里，医院转交、指定无害化处理渠道和商业纪念服务可能承担不同角色。先问清谁接收、谁运输、谁最终处理，再考虑告别室、纪念盒或配送。固定门店地址不等于实际处理地址，销售页面也不等于主管部门认可。
Within a city, a veterinary clinic, a designated disposal route and a commercial memorial service may play different roles. Identify who receives, transports and processes the remains before choosing a farewell room, keepsake or delivery. A storefront address is not necessarily the processing location, and a sales page is not regulatory approval.

上海市政府发布的虹口区 2026 年办事指南引用《上海市养犬管理条例》第二十九条：死亡犬只应送到指定无害化处理场所，不能自行掩埋或乱扔。此处讨论的是该指南中的犬只规则，不把它扩写为所有地区、所有动物的处理办法。
Shanghai’s 2026 Hongkou guide cites Article 29 of the dog-management rules: deceased dogs must go to designated harmless-disposal facilities rather than being privately buried or discarded. This describes the guide’s dog-specific rule, not a procedure for all animals or all locations.
向医院或主管部门询问时，把“在哪里交接”“接收时间”“是否需要登记材料”“最终送往哪里”写下来。若同时购买纪念服务，再单独问是否返还骨灰、由谁执行、能否提供处理记录。不要把无害化处理与个性化纪念服务当成同一承诺。
Ask the clinic or authority where and when handoff occurs, what registration documents are needed and where the remains will go. If you also purchase a memorial service, separately confirm return of remains, the actual operator and available documentation. Disposal and personalized remembrance are different commitments.

Beijing: start with public reception information
北京市实施动物防疫法的办法提到，应结合畜禽养殖和宠物饲养情况设置并公布无害化处理公共设施及收集暂存点。这个规定可以作为查询方向，但不能据此推断某个点位今天营业、免费接收或提供骨灰返还。
Beijing’s implementing rules address public disposal facilities and collection/storage points based on livestock and pet needs, with information to be made public. This provides a search direction; it does not establish that a particular location is open today, free or able to return remains.
联系所在区的主管部门或原诊疗医院，确认当日可用的接收方式。获得地址后再次核对动物种类、接收时间、包装要求、费用和所需材料。机构转交前，要求说明后续去向及你能拿到哪些凭证。
Ask the relevant district authority or treating clinic which reception route is currently available. Confirm species accepted, hours, packaging, charges and documents before travelling. If an intermediary transfers the remains, ask where they go and what receipt you will receive.
